Kick Counter

Tap for each movement and count to ten. A quiet, reassuring moment with your baby.

Ready when you are

0 / 10

Get comfortable, rest a hand on your bump, and tap once for each movement you feel. Many people reach 10 within an hour.

Every baby has their own rhythm. This is a gentle way to notice it, not medical advice. If your baby is moving less than usual or you feel worried, contact your provider right away, day or night.

About counting movements

How do I count kicks?

Pick a time when your baby is usually active, get comfortable, and tap the button once for each movement you feel: a kick, roll, flutter, or jab. The counter tracks how long it takes to reach 10 movements.

When should I start counting kicks?

Many providers suggest paying attention to movement from around 28 weeks, in the third trimester. The goal is to learn what is normal for your baby so you notice changes. Follow your own provider's advice on when and how often.

What counts as a movement?

Any kick, roll, jab, flutter or swish counts as one movement. Tap once each time you feel your baby move. Hiccups, which feel like small regular twitches, are usually not counted as movements.

When is the best time to count?

Choose a time when your baby is usually active, often after a meal or in the evening. Get comfortable somewhere quiet, ideally sitting or lying on your side, so you can focus on each movement.

What if my baby is moving less?

You know your baby best. If movements feel reduced compared with their usual pattern, or something simply feels off, contact your provider or maternity unit right away, day or night. It is always worth checking, and you should never wait until the next day.
